Announces
THE 2006 FRINNA AWERBUCH INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION

Winners will be presented in a joint concert in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in November, 2006. Solo recitals for the winners will be arranged during the 2007/2008 seasons in the Donnell Library Center in New York City. There will be a special award for the best performance of a major work by a 20th-21st century American composer.

ENTRANTS MUST BE 18 TO 32 YEARS OF AGE on October 31, 2006; a photocopy (“xerox”) of the entrant’s birth certificate, driver’s license, passport, or other proof of age (not the original document) must be attached to this application.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE POSTMARKED BY AUGUST 1, 2006. It is advisable, however, that applications be sent in early, as the number of contestants is limited. A money order or check payable on a U.S. bank for $100.00 U.S. must accompany the application and will be refunded only if we cannot accept the application at the time it is submitted.
